PROTECTION OF
CUSTOMER INFORMATION
TransWorks ("TW") understands the importance
of privacy to our customers and visitors ("Visitor")
to our Web site. We will treat as confidential information
that we receive from or about Visitors, to the extent required
by law or any applicable contract.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
TW provides links to external sites as a convenience to
the Visitor. The inclusion of any link does not imply TW
endorsement of the external site company, its web site, or
the products and services it promotes and sells. When you
leave the TW site to visit one of these linked sites, the
only information transferred to the third party is the fact
that you came from nscorp.com(the refer address). This practice
allows the third party to monitor its own Web site traffic,
but does not provide them with any information about you.
TransWorks is not responsible or liable for the independent
privacy policies of our third party sites. You should consult
the privacy policies at those sites to determine how your
information may be used.
DATA SECURITY
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy,
and ensure the correct use of Visitor and TW information,
we have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial
procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect
or provide online. We require, for your protection, that
passwords be reset every 45 days.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
AND HOW WE WILL USE IT
Our web servers collect the IP addresses, not the e-mail
addresses, of Visitors. This information is aggregated to
measure the number of visits, average time spent on the site,
pages viewed, etc. TW uses this information to measure the
use of our site, to improve the content of our site, and
to monitor access for security purposes. Visitors can visit
most areas of the TW Web site without revealing who they
are or providing any information about themselves or their
company. However, some services accessible through the TW
Web site require that Visitors identify themselves in order
to enable the function. We may ask Visitors to provide some
personal and business information in these situations.
Visitors to the TW site can, if they choose, participate
in additional secured interactive functions. For access to
these functions, Visitors first are required to complete
a registration form. This form includes information such
as name, address, phone number and e-mail address as well
as company related information. We use the information from
the registration form to enhance our services, to better
meet the needs and preferences of our customers, and to enhance
the security of the TW
site. We may also from time to time send information to registered
Visitors about NS products, services and system changes
that we think may be of interest. All activities at the TW
Web site may be monitored and recorded. For
registered Visitors, we may make this information available to your company.
COOKIES
A cookie is a piece of data. Cookies currently in use by
TW contain information to allow a Visitor to access certain
secured functions. They do not contain any personal information
about a Visitor and are not written to the Visitor's hard
drive. Cookies are required to use certain secured portions
of our web site.
EXPIRATION OF DATA
Personal and business information provided on the TW registration
form will be deleted if the Visitor does not access the TW
site for 180 days.
ASSENT
Your continued use of this site signifies your assent to
the TW Privacy Policy. We reserve the right, at our discretion,
to, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any
time. Please check this page periodically for changes.
CONTACTING TW
Comments, suggestions or other such unsolicited ideas and
concepts ("Submissions") sent to TW through this
Web site will not be treated as confidential and will become
the property of TW. TW will have no obligation of any kind
with respect to such Submissions and will be free to use
and distribute any such Submissions without limitation, including,
but not limited to, developing and marketing the concepts
embodied in such Submissions without obligation to the party
making the Submission.
RELEASE OF INFORMATION
TO THIRD PARTIES
Please be aware that TW may on occasion be required under
the law to release your confidential information to governmental
agencies and bodies and other third parties. When required
to do so by law or process of law, TW will comply with such
a demand to provide your confidential information.
